Earth and Snow Removal
Heavy Equipment Divison
Meet Rob Lizotte

Hi, I’m Rob and I’m in charge of the grunt force division of Zero31.
I have served 10 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a paratrooper, and another 20 years with the Alberta Sheriffs. This includes two tours of duty in Bosnia in 1992 and 1994. The last 15 years were spent mostly on Highway Patrol around Red Deer and Edmonton. Having a level 2 collision investigation certificate, I’ve spent many hours investigating serious collisions.
I’ve served our country and province for over 30 years. When I was hurt in an on-duty altercation in 2015, I had to make a difficult choice. I decided to retire from active duty and start a company that I would enjoy and that would keep me busy. I’ve always loved driving but wanted to try something away from law enforcement.
Zero31 was created with two divisions. My division incudes heavy equipment. Our focus in this division is on trucks. Our dump trucks haul snow in the winter and soil, clay and other marginal material in the summer. Currently we have two trucks leased to Oil Country Towing, who we work with on many jobs. This includes semi truck rollovers where we help with traffic control, the recovery and clean up of spilled loads and scene safety. My goal is to do this with integrity and professionalism, in a safe, secure environment.
In giving back to the community, I’ve served six years on a not-for-profit day care board and we donate a percentage of all profits to Valour Place in Edmonton. I feel the need to support wounded soldiers and first responders.
